History of the Eta Delta Chapter

The Eta Delta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded May 1, 1971 at Northern Illinois University by 18 women who chose to stand for individuality and sisterly love.

Eta Delta’s focus is to increase awareness of service needed to the DeKalb community.  Education, Health, and Student Growth are our top priorities. Some of our most notable programs are as follows:

  • Annual AIDS Walk-A-Thon
  • NIU Back To Campus Tour
  • Alcohol Awareness Programs
  • The Soul Bowl
  • Scholarship Library Hours
  • Sister to Sister Workshops

Our leadership and success comes from our members’ diverse backgrounds, and the support of individuals on NIU’s campus. We are always seeking potential members who want to continue our success.
